As a highly trained ANP, Cathy can manage most common medical problems. Cathy has an interest in managing mental health and high blood pressure.

Cathy was previously a ward sister in gynaecology and is experienced in dealing with gynae problems.

As a highly trained ANP, Alex can manage most common medical problems. In addition Alex is nurse lead for anticoagulation.

Alex was previously a community matron and has particular experience in caring for patients with long term conditions and housebound patients.

Advanced Nurse Practitioner

Nurses

Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears.

As well as general practice nursing, Sarah specialises in respiratory disorders, particularly asthma and COPD.

Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement and new patient checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.
