Warm weather advice

It's starting to get very warm in parts of England. It's vital that you drink plenty of fluids to keep yourself hydrated.

Be aware of the symptoms of dehydration, and drink plenty of water to keep yourself properly hydrated. Try to avoid excess alcohol.

Keep out of the sun at the hottest part of the day between 11am and 3pm. If you are out and about use sunscreen and wear a hat and cover up.

Home Blood Pressure monitoring

If, when we take your blood pressure at the surgery, your reading is higher than is desirable we may ask you to supply us with blood pressure readings that you yourself take at home. This will assist the practice clinicians to calculate your average blood pressure. If a clinician asks you to purchase a blood pressure monitor from a local pharmacy you can then print off and complete the form below returning it to us, you will then be informed if you require further management of your blood pressure.
